- J.P. Stevens Ski and Snowboard Club - Our club goal is to emphasize the
recreational and educational aspects of skiing and snowboarding, as well as to promote physical
fitness and an appreciation of the outdoors in winter.
Beginners as well as experienced skiers and riders are welcomed. For beginners, we subsidize
the cost of lessons. Ski rentals are available at the mountains for those who do not have equipment.
Helmets are strongly recommended for all skiers and riders.
We schedule five trips each year…two to Ski Windham, two to Hunter Mountain, and a final
weekend trip to Vermont. The J.P. Stevens Ski/Snowboard Club has scheduled the following trips for the 2008-2009 ski season.
* SATURDAY DEC 20 – HUNTER MOUNTAIN
* SUNDAY JAN 11 – SKI WINDHAM
* SATURDAY JAN 24 – SKI WINDHAM
* SUNDAY FEB 8 – HUNTER MOUNTAIN
* FEB 27 – MAR 1 – STOWE, VERMONT
Due to the nature of our club activities, membership is subject to a discipline review
by school administrators.

- Latin Club - Latin Club is a recreational and academic extracurricular
open to any student at John P. Stevens High School. You do not have to know
any Latin to be a part of the festivities. Join us for Classical Events, Roman
Holidays, Fundraisers, and more.
During the 2007-08 school year, the Latin club held a Saturnalia party and a
Wii Play game night, built a chariot and ran races, and fundraised through bagel
and candy sales. We’ve got a lot planned for this year and could always use a few
more good spirits to join in on the fun!
- National Arts Honor Society- National Arts Honor Society is a
community service based club that requires one successfully completed year of art
and be currently enrolled in an art class (exceptions will be made for those students
filling their life skills requirement). We will be submitting artwork to the NAHS
newspaper, participating in Halloween at the high, raising money for the Make A Wish
Foundation, and much more. For information on joining see Mrs. Paolello in room 152
or e-mail us at: alicedanding@live.com.
