Angela Smith, Social Studies teacher at Thomas Jefferson Middle School, was a winner of the Joan Lavine Keats Social Justice Award from the Julius and Dorothy Koppelman Holocaust/Genocide Resource Center (Rider University). Angela applied for the award/grant in order to purchase a class set of the graphic novel The Search, which was created specifically for students ages 13-16 at the Anne Frank Museum in Amsterdam.
